“ RESPONSE TO THE OWNER ALEKSANDRA: Dear Aleksandra. Thank you so much. We appreciate your taking the time to respond to our feedback. I wanted to add a few thoughts: 1. I have edited the atmosphere rating as well as the food rating from 3 to 4 stars. I think at the time of our dining there I was probably influenced by our experience and was perhaps a bit too harsh on those areas. 2. We were there Thursday August 7th 2025 around 6:30 p.m. for our second experience which was the "unfortunate one". 3. I believe that your waiter displayed impatience with us (me) after my son had had a soy protein allergy reaction to the cevapi or one of the sausages in the mixed meat grill. In fairness the waiter had no idea. My son's allergy is not the waiter's nor your nor anyone else's fault and we have managed our son's soy allergy well since he was diagnosed. Fortunately we can manage allergic reactions with some soda water, Benadryl and a little time. I went back inside to order some chicken filets to replace my son's meal (at our expense) and the only waiter working at around 6:30 p.m. (18 h 30) did seem a bit overwhelmed with several orders. I imagine that the language barrier did not help any of us, and I wish we had better Bosnian language skills. 4. Finally at the end of our meal we asked to have a couple of containers to go to pack our leftover food and the waiter insisted on packing it for us, a gesture I imagine that came from an effort to show good service and kindness. Either way I strongly believe it is important to try to respond to a customer's request to pack their own food provided it is within the health and safety rules of the country. Once again our lack of language skills did not help us communicate here. Finally, I believe that we are all learning and an opportunity for growth for your waiter may be the best response if I may give my humble opinion. My sincerest thanks! ORIGINAL REVIEW I will need to explain the stars above. The food is fairly good, no disappointments. The atmosphere is fine even charming outside, but the service on the two occasions we went was quite varied. On our first visit the wait staff was kind or at least not unkind, and patient with our lack of Serbo-Croatian language skills, so a 4 or 5 star rating for the wait staff that day! A couple days later we went and were served by a waiter who I believe studied at the school of "This is exactly how NOT to treat your customers." He was rude, belittling and displayed obvious visual signs of annoyance and impatience with us when we made efforts to communicate. At the very end he filled his sentences with plenty of "Have a good day" and "thank you" phrases in Serbo-Croatian, so maybe 2 stars instead of 1. At one point he even told me "Hurry up"...and then "sit down". I get that there was a language barrier, but one should make a point of not using the few words one knows in English that are insulting. I would suggest this restaurant let this waiter go. He obviously does not need this job if he treats customers this way. We will be in town for 6 days and after day 3 we have decided to write off this restaurant due to Sir Grump-A-Lot. I feel bad giving such a negative review, but without a waiter like "Mr. Cranky Pants" or maybe some further training for him, this place has the potential to be a 4 out of 5 stars. ”
“ Fabulous lunch here today and delicious beautifully cooked food with friendly waiters and manager who fitted us in with no reservation. Had the Octopus salad again (ate dinner here earlier in the week and excellent all round) and yum ! Followed by black pig roll roasted and gnocchi with truffles and blue swimmer crab - best cappuccino so far - setting just wonderful with a light sea breeze - highly highly recommend treating yourself - 83 € for a shared entree, two mains, coffee, 2 wines and a beer plus a dessert wine !! Winner !! ”
